Late Summer Earth Gathering

Hey, welcome home. Now, what on earth do we mean by that?

Sometimes the moment we say the word home, we feel a kind of pain inside. Why? Because there is a healthy place inside of us that knows exactly what “home” means, but we are  having some difficulty matching that healthy feeling on the inside with something in the outside world.

I suggest that some of the people who are most at home, and know best what the feeling of home is, are nomads. Nomads do not attach their sense of home to an external place. Their sense of home is a felt relationship to both movement and settling. It is a state of satisfaction in an interrelationship with where they are in their own tent, and in their own body.

We are at a time, globally, where we need to give up small, entitled, rigid notions of comfort and home—which absolutely does not mean giving up notions of comfort and home! Comfort is great. Home is great. We need those experiences. But we are ready to be freed into a much more reliable and genuinely centered relationship to “the comforts of home.”

There is a state of being a nomad that makes “home” an internal responsibility for creating relationships to where we are. It’s time for that exploration of what “home” really means.

What people are saying about working with Thea online: “The main thing I was most struck by after a 3-4 hour practice with Thea was how energized and full I felt; I was ready to keep going when it ended.  It was the exact opposite of how I’ve felt after many 1-hour Zoom calls at work.”

– David S.

“I have never met a more gifted teacher. Thea embodies the herbs and formulas in such a beautiful and heartfelt way, that what would otherwise be mere information becomes a living immediate experience for the student. Don’t blink or you’ll miss something intensely wonderful and unique.”

– Ki Ennes, M.Ac., L.Ac.
