A Lung Day, A Colon Day, and a Practice Day

While a single day may not be enough time to cover absolutely everything about the Lung, or about the Colon, it’s enough time for a “healing tour” of the issues that are most likely to be challenging our Metal element and the Metal of our clients at this time. These days are designed to be partly a teaching and partly a healing for the participant, who will leave with an embodied sense of the potential of the Metal acupuncture point treatments that we cover.

Then on Monday, we’ll practice long-distance acupuncture treatment with each other (see below for more details).

A Day-Long Rehab for the Lung Meridian

Covid-19 has brought some of us more opportunity for solitude than we ever wanted; for others, we’ve been more cooped up together than we’re used to. A Lung needs breathing space. Sometimes we don’t know how to get it; other times we don’t know what to do with it once we’ve got it.

The most important job of the Lung is to contact the sacred, and internalize it. This is not about any particular religion or path—it’s about breathing! Shallow breathing, interrupted and irregular breathing, constrained breathing (which often happens in crowded spaces or when we have no time to ourselves), and excess or lack of “clouds and mist” can all hamper the Lung’s ability to serve as private inner space in which to receive Heavenly Qi.

Come join us for a day of inner expansion as we explore the points of the Lung meridian together. What you learn will certainly benefit your practice, but even more importantly, it will be a re-consecration of inner sanctuary in your own body, for your own heart.

Letting Go Into Majesty

A Day-Long Rehab for the Colon Meridian

Too often in our lives, we do not recognize the beauty and value of the gifts that surround us right now, because we are still clinging to past majesties. We want it to be the way it used to be. Indeed, “how it used to be” may have been wonderful, but is yesterday’s treasured gifts getting in the way of receiving what we are being offered today?

Mourning for what it lost can, in some cases, completely block our ability to recognize new blessings—leaving us feeling unnecessarily impoverished. If “spiritual constipation” has kept us from allowing what used to be nourishing and valuable to leave our lives, we have no room for even greater treasures to be given to us. Let’s start making room now!

Come join us for a day of letting go into majesty as we explore the points of the Colon meridian together. The Colon meridian stretches all the way from the pointed finger of utter specificity (CO-1) to the most mystical apprehension of the most subtle fragrance of the Divine (CO-20). In between, it helps us to remember how to navigate the coming and going of the various forms of beauty, value, and treasure in our lives.

Integration Day, Monday, November 16, 2020

Online Acupuncture Treatment

Many practitioners are experimenting these days with various techniques for doing acupuncture treatment online. People have come up with some amazing different approaches! Would you like to explore together? Practitioners who are present for both the Stomach and Spleen workshops are invited to share and learn while treating and being treated.

.

What people are saying about working with Thea online: “The main thing I was most struck by after a 3-4 hour practice with Thea was how energized and full I felt; I was ready to keep going when it ended.  It was the exact opposite of how I’ve felt after many 1-hour Zoom calls at work.”

– David S.

“I feel I cannot begin to express my own personal transformation in this last year as a result of Whole Heart Acupuncture. I too have experienced a deeper connection and a steadier, less quivering opening of my heart with those around me. For me this is huge… and only the tip of the iceberg. I’m grateful for your insights, and to the whole group for the enriching cocoon of love and support in this life-changing journey.”

– Gale Long, L.Ac.
