Group Heart Online

Here is a link to a YouTube playlist consisting of two little videos, which introduce two of the most basic practices that will help us all experience less wear and tear from any online format—in fact you’ll be amazed how different it feels:

Perennial Medicine Workshop Attendees

When we first gather together, we also will go over some basic personal embodied preparations for online gatherings. We take online health very seriously, and we ask that you read, understand, and agree to abide by our protocols in order to make this gathering a healthy learning opportunity for everyone. If you are unable to keep these agreements, we will ask you not to take part in the gathering.

Please familiarize yourself with our online health protocols, below:

• For the session, choose a place that is relatively quiet, without distractions, noises, or interruptions—also where your internet connectivity is stable enough to have your camera on—it means a lot to the group to be able to see and interact with you. Please do not connect from your car, even if you are not driving.

• Ideally, choose a place that gives you a feeling of safety and ease, a place where you would go for meditation, prayer, reflection, or rest. We wish to share the intention to cultivate a space of sanctuary for our time together.

• Do your best to remain in that space for the duration of the session, the way you naturally would if we were meeting in person. If you have to change locations due to unforeseen issues, like internet connectivity difficulties, noise, or other personal needs, please turn off your video feed first before you transition.

•  In order to connect with the whole class, please use a computer or laptop, so that you can see everyone. Do not use a phone, as a phone will not allow you to join us fully.

•  These classes are very experiential, and it is not recommended that participants divide their focus by taking extensive notes. In order to allow participants to relax into the experiential aspects of the course, we will make an audio recording which will be shared only with participants. The purpose of the recording will be to remind participants of what they learned and to help re-create the exercises and resultant states. The recording will not be available for those who were not present in the class.

Thanks for taking a moment to find out ahead of time how this online experience may be a little bit different than what you are used to. We are all grateful for the consideration.
