Water and Winter
Winter is a training ground for all those times in life when it’s dark and getting darker on the outside, and we are only able to face it because we have learned how to find that light deep inside of ourselves. If not for winter, we may never go deep enough inside to realize this — and yet it is the source of the greatest courage and power during hard times.
The gift of Water is the security of living in touch with the bedrock of life. It is the confidence that comes from being in touch with our own resources. Water is the rooted strength of a relaxed power that comes from truly resting in what we do know, surrounded and supported by what we don’t know — but which we can sense, in the silence, and in the dark.
About the Emails
Would you like to get a daily reminder about winter, with suggestions for simple exercises and practices that can help you receive the clarity and strength of Water more fully? Starting December 1, you can begin to receive 30 days’ worth of Water integration emails, bringing you thoughts, images, and reminders of how to immerse in the energy of winter and receive its benefits most fully. This one-month subscription will support participants in integrating Water practices and insights into their daily lives through reminders of practical ways to develop healthy Water. There will be two emails each day: in the a.m. you will receive an email with a picture and text, suggesting a thought or practice for getting the most out of winter; and in the p.m., you will receive another email with an image to reflect upon and enjoy. For those who want CEUs, once the 30-day series is finished, you can fill in the worksheet and take the quiz to receive your certificate.
The email series begins on December 1, 2022. If you sign up for the emails after December 1, your email series will start from the beginning within a few days. Registration will close on January 15, 2023. Perennial Medicine is not creating new content for the seasonal emails at this time. The content will be the same as in years past.
