Participation in this Whole Heart Connection workshop is open to everyone

Whole Heart Connection is a set of body-based awareness practices designed to help us to shift our own internal states, such that we are able to connect with the best in ourselves, with the best in others, and with the source of creative insight.

WHOLE HEART CONNECTION OPENING THE DOOR with a focus: You Can’t Push the River (Self Assess and Field Assess)

This workshop is an introduction to Whole Heart Connection practices and is open to new students who have not taken any other Whole Heart Connection workshops.

You know how there are some days when everything just works? The lights are green, the key doesn’t stick in the lock, you tell your kid something and they do it… There are days that work like that. If you’re an artist, that’s when you create your masterpiece. If you’re a performance artist, that’s when you hope there is someone in the audience who can get you a job or write you an incredible review.

There are times when it works, and then there are other times when you have the same training, you have the same breakfast, you have the same degree, you have the same opinions in politics – and the key jams in the lock, and every other light is red, and you say something to your kid and your kid doesn’t listen, and you try to paint but you get stuck. It’s still you, it’s still the same stuff; it’s just not working.

What we don’t want to do in that situation is try harder. I’ve tried that before. You may have, too. “It’s not working. I know I can do this. I’ve done it before. I need to try harder!”

This is where You Can’t Push the River comes right on in. There is no flow state that comes from trying harder.

The purpose of this class is to return us to inner tools that allow us to be less self-conscious, and more able to be like the dance partner with life – to be part of the river, moving with the river that is interplaying with our lives–without so much trying and overthinking. It’s actually very simple, which is why I’m inviting you to spend two hours finding out about it. Hope you can join us.

For healers, WHC can help us find a healthy balance between our own integrity and groundedness and our ability to hold an open, healing presence with our clients. This allows us to be deeply of service without becoming drained, diagnostically skillful without being “stuck in our head,” and empathetic without being energetically blurry.

WHC is a translation of the Classical Chinese phrase ‘tong shen ming,’ which represents the sagely level of both diagnosis and treatment. Where can you learn more about that—on a practical, embodied level?

WHC skills vastly increase both our ability to discern the client’s patterns of disharmony, and connect with their original nature—the health at their core. When we are in touch with both the client’s illness and their health, we can needle as a revolutionary reawakening of that inner health.

This reawakening of health is the great power that is only available in a homeostatic healing system—of which you, the practitioner, are the most important part. Come hone your instrument—you!

In the event of a workshop cancellation, all tuition will be refunded. Otherwise, any refund is at the sole discretion of Perennial Medicine.
