The exit point of the Colon meridian is right by the nose. The entry point of the Stomach meridian is just under the eye. When these points are not open, it can diminish our sense of taste and smell. Our mental landscape may become stagnant, opinionated and small-minded. On the spirit level, we may find ourselves unable to receive nourishment, and unable to recognize natural beauty.
Re-opening the exit and entry points of the Colon and Stomach meridians allows for the direct apprehension of “that which refreshes” and “that which nourishes.” It dispels cynicism, jadedness, disdain and disgust. It allows us to regain our natural capacity for wonder, and our appetite for what life is putting on our plate.
