The most important job of the Lung is to contact the sacred, and internalize it. This is not about any particular religion or path—it’s about breathing: shallow breathing, interrupted and irregular breathing, constrained breathing (which often happens in crowded spaces or when we have no time to ourselves), and excess or lack of “clouds and mist” canals hamper the Lung’s ability to serve as private inner space in which to receive Heavenly Qi.
